Well, here it is, just another diehard Rangers fan looking to spout off about the team that has been apart of my life for a very long time. More specifically, since the days when WOR Channel 9 (in the tri-state area) was broadcasting both the regular season games and those playoff series as we were vying for the Patrick Division title. Sometime around 1980-81, I stumbled onto one of these games, in all the beauty that only a 13 inch black and white Tv could project. What game was it? Rangers Vs. Flyers. If, by chance, another local team had been on, who knows what would’ve happened. I could’ve been an…gulp… Islander fan. Now, as friggin awful as that sounds, I feel fortunate to have landed on that channel, at that time, on that day. Destiny? If I believed in that crap, I would say “HELL YEAH!”.
Well, as another NHL season is about to unfold, I hope the collective Rangers can play as they did the 2nd half of last season…tireless, hard working and with a “never say die” attitude. Come back here whenever you have a minute, and post away. I will be building this thing up daily.
