Marc Staal and Brandon Dubinsky have made it past the last round of cuts, and will remain with the big club. Dawes, Montoya and Anisimov were reassigned to Hartford. NYR is carrying 8 D, on a roster of 23. More young (blue) blood injected into the club. Staal looked good in games I saw this pre-season. Never out of place, good passing ability and a looonngg reach. We haven’t seen a reach like this since Willie Huber, or more recently Kjell Samuelsson, . Dubinsky earned his spot on the roster with a so so touch, and a willingness to mix it up; probably end up centering the 3rd line. Good thing we didn’t land Mike Peca, oitherwise this kid would be packing his bags today as well.
