I’ve been more into games where we are playing the BlueJackets! Isle-Ranger games for the most part were always fun to watch. Now, you get a boring game thrown into the mix every now and again. Last night, to me, was one of those games. Was it because it was only the third game of the season? I hope so. Was it because we in the NY area were forced to watch on Versus, without the benefit of hearing our own familiar announcers? I hope so. We can only hope that the next Isle-Ranger game is broadcast on MSG AND FSNY, so as to spare us from listening to Eddie O’s color commentary. Strictly bush-league. Now, would I be saying any of this if the Blueshirts had won? Probably not, but that’s not the point. I am merely trying to distract the Islander fans, and deflect the barrage of insults sure to come our way.
We should of known it wasn’t going our way when Callahan was given a diving penalty, for getting yanked off his feet – NO DIVE OCCURRED! See the pic below!
I guess now that we play the icelanders 8 times, that the law of averages would dictate a crappy game be played once in a while. Fine. So, we have 7 more contests to look forward to. Our powerplay will surely get going. The team will gel. Oh yeah, geez, I hope DiPietro doesn’t get any better if that’s possible (holding in my laughter), or we won’t ever score on them…haha (couldn’t hold it in anymore!) Can you say”Over-Rated”?
