1 Step Forward, then 1 Step Back

Sorry, I was away for the weekend. I saw the game Friday night, and skimmed through the Tivo’d Rangers-Senators game late last night. First, the game against the Caps. Finally, the PP cashed in. 3 PP goals in the first period. Gomer’s 1st as a Ranger. For a bit there it looked like it had the makings of a blowout, but there were no goals scored for the rest of the game. Henrik continues to keep pucks out of the net! His GAA will again be tops in the league if he keeps this up. Can anyone say VEZINA? Game Reports, which all praise the power play: NY Times, Daily News, NY Post, Newsday, &  Journal News

The game against the Sens was well played except for a 52 second span. In that 53 seconds, the Sens scored 3 goals. This the quickest 3 goals the Rangers have allowed since 1983.  Jagr netted his first of the year. Let’s hope he hits one of those hot streaks he is capable of. There was one decent fight in this game…Orr Vs. McGratton (check vid below) Game Reports all focus on that 52 second outburst by the Sens: NY Times, Daily News, Post, Newsday & Journal News
