Straka will be out at least one month with a broken index finger. He blocked a shot by Chara on Saturday with his hand. Avery skated on his own, but is still two weeks away.

Poor Henrik. All he does is give us a chance to win games night in and night out. The Rangers will not do that unless we get more than 1 goal (thus far) from Shanny, and 1 goal so far from Jagr. Oh yeah, Gomez and Drury have a grand total of 3 goals between them. Hell, Roszival has 2 goals already…that should tell you something. Our offense is hurting. What the Rangers need tonight against Sid the Kid and Pittsburgh is a couple of early goals, otherwise they will be gripping those sticks even harder, and feeling the pressure mount with every missed shot or save. Keep those fingers crossed…
