Another 1-0 Loss

24 10 2007

Hey we can at least take solice in the fact that the Rangers made history last night. No Ranger team has EVER lost two back to back 1-0 games (126 minutes running). Great, if those are the records we are gonna be breaking this season, the rest of the NHL best look out! At least with the loss the other day against Boston, we got to see a shoot-out. No such luck yesterday – it was just a regulation 1 zip disaster. Going into the season, offense was supposed to be our forte, not defense. So far it’s the other way around. Defensively, the team is on fire. Henrik, once again was looking at a loss when he only allowed one goal. That should never be the case. Sure, the Rangers rung the post 3 times in the game, which is great if you’re making a musical, but don’t count for s#@t on the scoreboard. Just shoot, hit the net, and good things will eventually happen. As Drury said yesterday following the game “We owe Henrik a lot of goals” – a lot of goals indeed.

Game Reports as usual: The NY Times talks about (shocker) the Rangers scoring drought, the Daily News does the same, oh yeah, the Post also brings up the offensively challanged team, and finally, the Journal News takes a different angle – oh wait – no, they hit on the blanking as well. Fun reading today fellas!
