We picked up a much needed 7th d-man who has logged some NHL time. Not a point producer, but has 40+ PIMs this season. As Tom Renney has said, now he has some leverage with the defense corps. More can be found in the articles linked below. Boston today @ 1:00 pm.

Hey, just an off day, not much going on in the Ranger-sphere as teams are off for the AllStar Break. A couple of local rags begin to dive in to the “Trade Talk”. This is a time of the season I love…as teams inch closer to the trade deadline. Let’s hope Prucha can hang around for a little longer. A few of the sites I hit for rumors are all decent, but Spector’s Rumors seems to be the most accurate. I also check out The Fourth Period as the trade deadline looms ahead.
There is an article that discusses Henrik’s rise to the elite. Anyone who has been watching the Rangers knows what value and skill he has. No surprise there.
Also, the death of a canadian kid, Don Sanderson, due to fisticuffs is sure to stoke those anti-fighting fires that burn in all but us purists. He wasn’t really hurt during the fight, but when going down as it ended, he hit his head on the ice. Apparently, his helmet came off during the fight, which left him open for a head injury should he be taken down….which sadly was the case. There are a few links below that will take you further.

First, Stevie, someone who posted on here recently has turned me on to a great site honoring the great Adam Graves. Any and all who visit here should check it out, and even submit some photos for the tribute mosaic. You need to see it to understand exactly what I’m talking about. Secondly, with that sweet win over the ducks yesterday we are finally seeing a nice string of games [ except for that debacle in Steel Town]. A couple of shortys with a sprinkling of PP goals was solid. Hey, nice to GET a shorty or two for once instead of the other way around! Well, enjoy the break, and if you are like me, keep your fingers crossed that nothing befalls King Henrik in Montreal at the Cream Puff Game….you know, NO HITS AT ALL! Any guesses on what the final score will be…the over/under is 24..HA

That whiny little dipshit of a goalie and his Penguins blanked us today on NATIONAL TV ! Three – zip….just great. We were building up some steam, and with one game it all got released.
Fights updated in the “Drop the Gloves” section! Check ‘em out.

Whew! Broke that 3 game schneid thanks to the lowly Islanders. A typical Isle-Ranger game – couple of bouts, some quick and/or timely goals, etc. All sparked by none other than Petr Prucha. I’m a Prucha fan, so me waiting for him to do something has been what seems like an eternity. Let’s hope he can squeeze into the lineup on Saturday against the Caps!
