Finally a “W” against those dirty Leafs

22 10 2010

Sorry for being away so long, I had issues accessing the account to throw posts up here. All fixed though. Now, no Drury (i can live with that), no Prospal (that’s a little worse), but NO GABORIK (holy s#@t, we are screwed!!). Our offense has been anemic to say the least, for what, the past 6 years or so? Great this is all we need.

On the brighter side, the Boogeyman finally threw down with Colton Orr last night. It was just a meh fight. A few heavy rights, and not much more. Just a taste people, just a taste of what Boogaard is gonna bring. Biron was great, filling in for Lundqvist.

Bye Bye Redden!

25 09 2010

Well, this comes as no surprise. Rangers put Redden on waivers as of noon today. Clears his salary toward the cap.

Start revving those engines!

2 09 2010

Hockey is almost here. Once children start boarding those yellow buses, hockey is close behind. So many good things to look forward to this year. For me, it’s the arrival of the BoogeyMan….

The Ranger’s Playoff Hopes “Fly” out the Window!

14 04 2010

A terrible pun to end what was a terrible f’ing season. Sure the first 8 games were solid, and the last 11 games or so were real good, but what about all that mediocre crap between those two bookends? Inconsistency! That word always is rearing its ugly head when the Ranger’s season comes to a screeching halt. Why can’t that be addressed by either Torts or Sather? How can you stop the vicious cycle that inevitably comes down to inconsistency and/or the power play (the lack-there-of)? Sure, we had some injuries that I would rather not endure the last week of the season, such as Callihan’s and Avery’s knees. Well, all I can hope is that Torts does his so-called “weeding out” of certain individuals during the off-season. Hey, at least we landed the 10th overall pick in this year’s draft…

Oh, and really, Jokinen for the final chance during the shootout!!!! Come on….In case you missed it.

Goodbye Kotalik & Higgins, Hello Ollie & Prust!

2 02 2010

Kotalik trade went through….we give up Kotalik & Higgins (both were complete non-players here) and get Ollie Jokinen & Brandon Prust.

The NYR Power-less Play!

27 01 2010

Alright let’s dig in. I bet back about a week and half ago, you were saying to yourself…whew the Rangers figured out their scoring woes. WRONG. How about two shut outs in a row, followed by a 4-2 loss. Jeez by my calculations, that’s 1 goal every 90 minutes!! I can’t wait for the game tonight against Carolina…I’m predicting the score to be .6 to 5. The Rangers with the .6 (DECIMAL POINT then SIX)!! Well, obviously they can’t get a .6, so we’ll round up to the nearest whole number and maybe, just maybe, the Blueshirts will get 1. Enough sarcasm and bashing of the team I love. Let’s just hope this all gets worked out, otherwise Sather will sell the farm and pursue Kovalchuk. Please no.

Sorry No Updates …I’ve Been Sick!

15 10 2009

Well, I was definitely watching the games while I was sick, even if I wasn’t posting. They look great so far. Really fun to watch, no 2-1, or 1-0 games like last year. Gaborik is the new Jagr. We finally have a bonafide scorer who can scare teams. Well, i hope to be back posting soon, so stop on by….

2-1 Loss to Beantown to kick off the pre-season

16 09 2009

Besides seeing a number of players that won’t be on the opening day roster, we got to see some who just might make the cut. Gilroy…pretty good game, almost had a goal in the 3rd (except for the winning pp goal which he was on the ice for; Del Zotto….didn’t look out of place, and handled almost everything thrown at him. I stress these two, because thats what it seemed like everyone else was doing. Rightly so though.
